Marcia Prasch grew up in
Cooperstown, New York. She attended College in Boston and North Carolina.
She got involved with the Save Darfur Coalition after hearing a Lost Boy from
Sudan speak at an IRC event in 2006. Past volunteer work includes teaching
adults to read, working with mentally handicapped children and volunteering
with "Culture on the Corner" in San Francisco, a program designed to
show inner-city children a world outside of the Projects. Marcia enjoys travel,
gardening, writing and spending time with her three children and husband.
A.J. Fay was born in Charleston, South Carolina, but did
most of his growing up in Bend, Oregon. He got involved in the Darfur campaign
through his work with Amnesty International USA. Past volunteer work: He is
the Student Activist Coordinator for Amnesty International USA in Idaho,
Volunteers with the International Rescue Committee, He also coordinates blood
drives for the American Red Cross. A.J. enjoys traveling, cooking, reading,
meeting new people, and spending time with family and friends.
Marilyn Griep is a Boise-born native and graduate
of Boise High School
and Boise State
University. She is
a social worker; also, she enjoyed many years of volunteering in her
daughter's schools. Marilyn became involved with activism for Darfur
in 2007, after several nudges from her sister in San
Francisco. It is her personal involvement with the
many beautiful Africans here in Boise
that helps keep her motivated to stay in the fight for peace in Darfur/Sudan
and all of Africa. Marilyn enjoys reading, taking long walks with
her husband, and hanging out with her daughter.
